Ukraine starts search for Junior star

Starting from this week till the end of May young singers between 10 and 15 are allowed to send in their applications to participate.

In the next stage the jury will pick the 20 finalists. The final itself will take place on the 1st of August in the International Children Centre Artek by the Black Sea. The selected twenty contestants will stay at Artek for more than a week before the final rehearsing their stage performances with the choreographers, dancers and polishing their song presentation with their vocal coaches.

The winner will in the end be selected by 50% jury and 50% televoting in the show that'll take place on the 1st of August.

This year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Kyiv, Ukraine after Anastasiya Petryk brought home the victory last year with her song Nebo. After a successful bidding process NTU got the right to host the contest this year.
