The summer may be nearly over which is disappointing for many but that means that Junior Eurovision season is about to begin! There are just over 12 weeks until the final of the 2017 Junior Eurovision Song Contest! What can you expect over the coming weeks?
So far 16 countries have confirmed participation in the 2017 Junior Eurovision Song Contest which will be held in Tbilisi, Georgia on Sunday 26th November. To date, five countries have selected their artists:
Over the next month there will be a flurry of activity as the remaining participating countries select their entries for Junior Eurovision. The next national selection will take place in The Netherlands on Saturday 16th September. However there may well be some other surprise announcements along the way!
Meet your hosts
Georgian Public Broadcasting are currently auditioning potential hosts of the 2017 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. We expect the announcement to be made in the coming weeks so stay tuned!
Head of Delegation meeting
In October the Heads of Delegation will meet in Tbilisi and formally submit their entries to the 2017 competition. They will also be given a tour of the venue as well as meet the production team. It is a crucial milestone in the planning of the forthcoming contest and we will be there bringing you all the latest from behind the scenes!
We will be working closely with each delegation as they prepare for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. We will be bring you exclusive videos and interviews with the artists ahead of their arrival in Tbilisi. During the event week we have lots of fun content planned including a new-look Junior Eurovision website!
The return of the public vote
This year YOU can help decide the winner of the 2017 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. In a Eurovision first, people around the world can vote for their favourite entries which will form part of the final score of the final. More details will be released soon!
