Let the rehearsals begin
Before the live show takes place, the artists learn to work with the cameras and the audience, and final technical decisions are made. From lights to camera angles and outfits, this is the week in which things are tweaked to perfection. But before our young artists take the stage, they attend the opening ceremony:
On the 21st of November, Roksana rehearsed Anyone I Want To Be on the Junior Eurovision stage for the first time.
After successfully going through two rehearsal rounds and a dress rehearsal, we asked Roksana about her dance routine, just before the live show on the 25th of November.
Roksana was 20th to take the stage, as Poland was drawn at position 20. She performed her entry Anyone I Want To Be. At the moment of writing, her performance video is the 2nd most watched video on the Junior Eurovision YouTube channel with more than 7 million views.
After a couple of nerve-racking minutes towards the end of the voting results, Roksana was crowned the winner of the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with 215 points. She left behind Angélina from France who got 203 points and Australia's Jael who received 201 points.
After winning the trophy, Roksana answered questions from the press and proudly posed with her trophy in a press conference.
