Jael will represent Australia at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Minsk with the song 'Champion'.
12-year-old Jael from Melbourne comes from a tight-knit and self-defined ‘charismatic’ family. The eldest of 4 children to David & Rebekah, this entire family boasts musical talent and ability.
Jael has been singing and performing since she was four years old and, even more incredibly, wrote her first original song at this tender age! By the age of 9, she was already recording in her dad’s studio. Raised in the church and performing in her school choir, Jael often places and wins talent competitions against performers double her age. Winning top awards 3 years running at the Fast Track Talent Showcase, the talented ‘tween’ has now been selected to represent Australia at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
Jael has developed a commanding stage presence that wows audiences wherever she performs. Audiences frequently comment on how charming and genuine Jael is and how she is a mature performer for her age. Often selected to lead the 100-strong choir at her school, Jael has been invited on numerous occasions to entertain at local council events, school concerts and musicals, open days and other important functions, sometimes in front of thousands of people. She loves pop, hip hop, contemporary and gospel music, with some of her musical inspirations including Blanca, Britt Nicole, Tori Kelly and Tasha Cobbs.
Jael is an active member of her youth group and her ultimate desire is to inspire others through her uplifting music and attitude. She delights in being a positive role model and helping others believe in themselves to achieve their dreams. Her interests outside of music are all creative: Jael loves cooking and can prepare a full 3-course meal for a family, she loves watching DIY’s on YouTube, enjoys drawing, and is a skilled dancer.
Talented and hardworking, Jael is quietly ambitious, firmly believing success on stage is part of her destiny. Working with her management and creative team, Jael is quickly transforming from an enthusiastic schoolgirl into a powerhouse performer.
