Poland was one of the original participants in the very first Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, have taken part 6 times in total and won the trophy 2 times in a row.

They participated in 2003 and 2004 and resumed their participation in 2016 when they reached 11th place for Nie zapomnij performed by Olivia Wieczorek.

In 2018, Poland won the competition with Anyone I Want to Be by Roksana Węgiel and in 2019 they won the competition again with Viki Gabor's Superhero.
